Max amount CPU's in Katmai (SQL Server 2008 Datacenter)

Hello,

With longhorn server and SQL Server 2008 will we be able to have more than 64 CPUS?

So far, the biggest Windows Server I have heard of is an HP Superdome that supports 64 physical CPUs.

No. I was referring to the hardware execution threads. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-core_%28computing%29 for some information.

|||Probably not in the RTM version. We would likely react to the availability of more CPUs on newer hardware and operating systems with service packs as we have in the past.
